Young Engineering was created as a home based design business providing 3D CAD design services to the manufacturing industry. We utilize the latest SolidWorks CAD software to provide accurate and detailed designs and drawings.
Adam Young - Owner/Design Engineer
From 1994 through 1999 worked as a progressive stamping die designer at Penn United Technology in Cabot, PA using Cadkey design software.
While working at Penn United he received Journeyman Tool & Die Design papers from the Butler County Vocational-Technical School.
In 1998 he helped design and patent a new style of adjustable locking pliers.
In 1999 he accepted a position as a progressive stamping die designer at Oberg Industries in Freeport, PA using UGS NX design software.
In 2001 he relocated to Clearwater, FL to take another position as a progressive stamping die designer at Sun Microstamping using Cadkey design software.
Later in 2001 he accepted a position as a Project Engineer with Oberg Arizona in Chandler, AZ.
During that time he utilized multiple CAD platforms like Cadkey, AutoCAD, UGS NX, Pro-E, and SolidWorks to perform a variety of design tasks.
In 2004 he was one of the recipients of the Oberg Industries Value Award for Productivity.
In 2008 he was tasked to provide engineering support for hydro-form/deep draw products at Oberg's FLAC facility in Tecate, MX.
After the closure of Oberg's Arizona facility in 2009 he accepted a position as design/project engineer at Tube Specialties, Inc. using KeyCreator 3D design software.
Currently he designs a multitude of tooling and fixtures for tube assemblies, mostly for the aerospace industry.
